Eric Kibi (ex Al Hilla) is a newcomer at Sloga Uppsala

Eric Kibi

Sloga Uppsala (Superettan) strengthened their roster with the addition of experienced 34-year-old DR Congolese-Canadian ex-international 198cm forward Eric Kibi (college: ACU) for the 2025-26 season. He played most recently at Al Hilla in the Iraqi Superleague. In 7 games, he recorded 7.6ppg, 7.1rpg, and 1.0apg last season. He also played for another Iraqi team, Darbandkhan (Superleague).
Kibi represented DR Congo at the Afrobasket Championship eight years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 3.5 points per game and had 3.5 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in fourteen different countries. Kibi has played previously professionally in Argentina (Libertad, Tiro Federal and Racing de Chivilcoy), Canada (London Lightning, Rattlers and Blackjacks), Chile (Los Leones, Tinguiririca and CD Espanol Osorno), Denmark (Randers), France (Golbey and Avignon/Pontet), Germany, Holland (Hague), Montenegro, Morocco (AS Sale), Romania (Focsani), Slovakia (Handlova), Spain (L'Hospitalet) and Venezuela (Toros).
He has won many awards during his career, including playing in the final of the Chilean Liga Nacional in 2023. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention in 2022.
Kibi graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2012 and it will be his 14th season in pro basketball. He played also for University of Arkansas at Little Rock for one year.
