2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers: South Sudan coast past DR Congo

South Sudan wrapped up their 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers on a high note. They knocked down DR Congo to clinch the second position in Group A. Kur Kuath (208-F/C-1998, college: Marquette) scored 15 points to lead the winners.
South Sudan stormed into the game taking a 27-9 lead after ten minutes. South Sudan extended the lead to as many as 20 points at halftime 48-28. They maintained the lead throughout the second half. South Sudan held their opponents to just 30 points in the second half and cruised to the win. Junior Madut (195-G-1997, college: Hawaii) posted 14 points for the winners. Yannick Nzosa (211-C-2003) answered with 14 points for DR Congo.
