Christian Eyenga (ex Lobos BUAP) is a newcomer at Pau-Lacq-Orthez

Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (ProB) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old Congolese ex-international 198cm small forward Christian Eyenga. Eyenga played last summer at Lobos Plateados de la BUAP in Mexican LNBP. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 17 LNBP games he recorded 10.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.9apg. Eyenga also played for Gaiteros in Venezuelan SPB where in 12 games he averaged 9.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.0bpg.
In 2009 he was drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) in first round (30th overall). He was a member of Congolese Senior National Team between 2018 and 2022.
Eyenga is a very experienced player. Thanks to Eyenga's pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played previously professionally in China (Loongs), Italy (Sassari), Poland (Zastal and PGE Turow), Spain (Joventut, Unicaja, Fuenlabrada, Prat and Joventut), NBA (LA Lakers), France (Lille), NBA G League (Texas Legends and Cleveland Charge) and DR Congo (B.C.Onatra Kinshasa). Eyenga was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2015 and 2017.
His team made it to the Spanish Liga Endesa Supercup Final Four in 2020.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Pau-Lacq-Orthez.
