Congo DR shocked South Sudan to win Group A at the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They posted a 76-69 win to finish with a 3-0 record. The Congolese's overtime win ended South Sudan's unbeaten run on the continent.
Rolly Fula Nganga (200-PF-1993) Nganga led the way with 21 points and Jordan Sakho (207-C-1997) collected 18 points and 11 rebounds. Wenyen Gabriel (208-C-1997, college: Kentucky) replied with 22 points and 15 rebounds, whilst Junior Madut (195-G-1997, college: Hawaii) and Jackson Makoi (196-G-2000, college: Daytona St.) had 12 each.
