Herve Kabasele agreed terms with Cantabria

Herve Kabasele

Grupo Alega Cantabria Torrelavega (LEB Gold) signed 27-year-old DR Congolese ex-international 208cm center Herve Kabasele. He is not a newcomer in the Spanish League as he played most recently at Real Valladolid Baloncesto. In 19 LEB Gold games in Spain, he recorded 6.1ppg and 4.9rpg in the 2022-23 year. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. For the two previous seasons (2020-22), he played at another Spanish team Unicaja Banco Oviedo.
Kabasele also represented DR Congo at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 2.2 ppg and had 2 rpg.
He has played previously professionally in Spain (Breogan Lugo and Real Canoe) and the NBA G League (Erie BH).
He won the Spanish LEB Gold championship title in 2018. Kabasele was voted to Afrobasket.com All-Afrobasket Championship Honorable Mention in 2017.
