Fos-sur-Mer keeps Etou for another season

Junior Etou

FOS Provence Basket (ProB) re-signed 30-year old DR Congolese 203cm forward Junior Etou (college: Tulsa) for the upcoming season. He played there last season. In 13 ProB games, he recorded 8.6ppg, 4.4rpg, and 1.2apg. ProB will be definitely a better match, and he can see more playing time. He also played for another French team SIG Strasbourg (Betclic ELITE ProA). Etou also played 12 games in Betclic ELITE ProA where he averaged just 2.7ppg and 1.8rpg. The other team he played shortly was Hapoel Haifa (Winner League) in the Israeli league.
He is a very experienced player. Etou has played professionally in Germany (s Oliver Baskets), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva), Italy (Brindisi), Spain (Estudiantes), Turkey (Sakarya Buyuksehir Basketbol), and France (Cholet Basket and Quimper UJAP).
His college team reached the French ProB Leaders Cup final in 2021.
He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2018, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Etou played for Rutgers University for 2 years as well.
