BC Virunga closed their Group B campaign with a remarkable effort after rallying from a 19-point deficit to beat Espoir Basket Club 79-76.
Espoir grabbed a 16-13 early lead and nailed 30 points in the second period to take an 18-points halftime advantage. Virunga replied with a massive 25-10 surge in the third quarter and closed the game with a final 26-20 run.
Jonathan Nzamba top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Bienvenue Liseko collected 16 points and 14 rebounds. Hermann Boukosso (2001) replied with 22 points in a loss.
