Bangui outscored Virunga in Yaounde in Group B of the Road to BAL 2024. The team from Central Africa posted an easy 84-39 win over DR Congo representative. Bangui started with a 20-8 run and never looked behind. They added a 21-13 run before the halftime and won the third quarter 14-12. Moreover, Bangui erupted with a 29-6 surge in the last stanza to secure the victory.
Evans Ganapamo (201-F-1994, college: PVAMU) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Alex Higgins-Titsha (197-F-2000) notched 19. Jonathan Nzamba replied with 13 points in a loss.
