Hereda San Pablo Burgos (LEB Gold) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old Congolese international forward Jonathan Kasibabu (203cm-109kg-1996, college: Fairfield) for season 2023-24. He is not a newcomer in Spanish League as he played last season at Zunder Palencia. He managed to play in three leagues last year. In 26 LEB Gold games in Spain he recorded 7.0ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.0bpg. Kasibabu also played for Rio Breogan (Liga Endesa). But in 5 games he averaged just 0.2ppg and 1.2rpg. He also played 1 game in Basketball Champions League where he had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
Two years ago (two years after his graduation) he was drafted by Austin Spurs (G-League) in first round (14th overall).
Kasibabu graduated from Fairfield University in 2019 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. He has been regularly called to Congolese Senior National Team since 2018.
Kasibabu has played previously professionally in France (Nantes) and NBA G League (Long Island Nets).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of MAAC Tournament in 2018. He was also voted All-MAAC Defensive Player of the Year back in 2019.
