Isaac Mushila commits to N.Mexico

University of New Mexico agreed terms with Congolese forward Isaac Mushila (6'5''-207lbs) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Mushila is the second import player in the roster as Finnish Mustapha Amzil signed here earlier.
He played for the last two years at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. In 35 games he had 14.5ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg last season. His team won Southland Conference Regular Season Championship and he was also voted to All-Southland Conf. First Team and NABC Division I All-District 22 Second Team this year. He was named All-Southland Conf. Newcomer of the Year and he was also selected to All-Southland Conf. Second Team in 2022. His team won Southland Conf. Tournament in two consecutive years: 2022 and 2023.
He played also at Gillette College in 2019-2020 and then at Western Texas College in 2020-2021. Mushila helped his team make it to the NJCAA D1 Northwest Plains District Semifinals in 2020. His team won NJCAA D1 Region V West and WJCAC Tournament Championships and he helped TAMUCC team make it to the NJCAA D1 Southwest District Finals in 2021.
He graduated SPIRE Institute (Geneva, OH) in 2019, which he joined from St. John High.
