Patrick Mwamba commits to Loyola University of Chicago

Loyola University of Chicago agreed terms with 23-year old Congolese international forward Patrick Mwamba (6'7''-205lbs) for new 2023-24 season. Bukava (DR Congo) native moved there from Oral Roberts University where he played only for one year. In 34 games he had 7.9ppg and 5.4rpg. His team won Summit League Regular Season Championship and Summit League Tournament this year.
Mwamba played also at University of Texas at Arlington in 2018-2022. Mwamba's team ended regular season as a second best place in Sun Belt and he helped ORU team make it to the Sun Belt Tournament Finals in 2019.
He has been a member of Congolese international program for some years. Mwamba has been regularly called to Congolese senior team since 2021 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Afrobasket.com All-African Championship U18 Second Team in 2016. Golden Eagles also won African U18 Championship in Kigali (Rwanda) in 2020.
