Focsani adds Kibi to their roster

CSM Focsani 2007 (Liga Nationala) added to their roster 32-year old Congolese-DR Congolese international forward Eric Kibi (198cm-104kg-1990, college: ACU) for season 2022-23. Kibi is the second import player in the roster as USA Kevin Johnson signed here earlier.
He played this summer at Toros in Venezuelan SPB league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year.
The most of last season he spent at Tinguiririca in Chilean LNB where in 20 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.4ppg, 14.7rpg (leader !!!), 1.3apg and 1.3spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention. He also played for Avignon/Pontet in French NM1. In 7 games he averaged 9.3ppg, 6.9rpg (leader !!!) and 1.3spg.
Kibi also represented DR Congo at the Afrobasket Championship five years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 3.5ppg, 3.5rpg.
He is quite experienced player. Kibi's career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. Kibi tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Libertad and Tiro Federal), Canada (London Lightning, Ottaway SkyHawks, Saskatchewan and Ottawa), Denmark (Randers), Germany (Kibirtener Loewen, BG Halstenbek/Pinneberg and Rendsburg), Holland (Hague), Iraq (Al Mina), Montenegro, Morocco (AS Sale), Slovakia (Handlova), Spain (L'Hospitalet) and France (GET Vosges).
His team made it to the CEBL Summer Series Semifinals in 2020.
He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2012 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Kibi: Super athletic position 3 player who has great face up game and can handle the ball in the perimeter to produce with his midrange game, using pull up shot, or strong drives to the basket. Kibi has excellent inside back to the basket game, can use strength to back down players for his drop step move or hook shot consistently. In transition offence or fast breaks, possess great speed, quickness to score in open floor. Strong with the ball and drives to the basket can finish with contact and dunk. Great individual defender in the perimeter and also uses strength comfortably to defend bigger players inside. Has excellent nose for defensive and offensive rebounding, catches the ball on the highest point.
