We bring you last week's top performances from Congolese who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an international guard
Mathieu Kamba (196-95, college:
Cent Arkansas, currently plays in Spain). Kamba could not help
Oviedo (9-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Oviedo was edged
79-78 on the road by the lower-ranked (#10) Melilla.
Kamba was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court.
It's Kamba's first season with the team.
Kamba has relatively good stats this year: 13.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 44.8%, 3FGP: 37.9% and FT: 64.1% in 13 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Canadian.
Kamba is currently a member of the DR Congolese senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international forward
Patrick Mwamba (196-99, currently plays college basketball in the States). He led
UT Arlington to a victory against the University Louisiana at Lafayette (3-2)
83-73 in the NCAA last Thursday.
Mwamba scored 22 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists.
The University of Texas at Arlington has a solid 4-2 conference record this season.
Mwamba is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in UT Arlington's roster.
This season he has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.1apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 46.7%, 3FGP: 26.8% and FT: 66.7%.
Mwamba is in the roster of the DR Congolese senior national team.
#3. The DR Congolese player who performed third best last week abroad was former international swingman
Shekinah Munanga (201-97, currently plays in France). He was not able to help
ALM Evreux in their game against ADA Blois (7-7) in the French ProB (second division).
Munanga scored 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
The league leader ALM Evreux was defeated
78-72 in Blois by the much lower-ranked ADA Blois (#9).
Munanga's overall stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 57.6%(38-66), 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 61.5%.
He played for the DR Congolese national team two years ago.
#4. Forward
Jonathan Kasibabu (203-96, college:
Fairfield, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for
Nantes (0-1) in their last game. Despite Kasibabu's good performance Nantes lost
72-76 in Aix-les-Bains to the higher-ranked (#5) Aix-Maurienne.
He recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes.
This year Kasibabu averages: 8.0ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.3apg in 14 games.
He used to play for the DR Congolese national team
back in 2018.
#5. International forward
Eric Kibi (198-90, college:
ACU, currently plays in Chile) couldn't help
Tinguiririca in their last game. Despite his very good performance his team was badly defeated
85-66 at home by the lower-ranked (#4) Los Leones.
Kibi was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 37 minutes.
This year Kibi's overall stats are: 5.3ppg and 3.3rpg in 15 games.
He is another player who holds two passports: DR Congolese and Canadian.
Kibi plays currently for the DR Congolese national team.
#6. Forward
Chadrack Lufile (206-90, agency:
BIG, college:
Wichita St., currently plays in Romania) contributed to a
Miercurea Ciuc's surprising victory against the third-ranked Timisoara (3-1)
72-63 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Friday.
He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
CSM VSKC Miercurea Ciuc (0-2) is placed 13th in the Liga Nationala.
Lufile has reliable stats this season: 10.9ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.2apg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior DR Congolese National Team roster.
#7. International center
Jordan Sakho (207-97, agency:
BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help
Breogan (8-7) in their game against Joventut (10-5) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones.
Sakho scored only one point.
Breogan was edged
90-87 on their home court in Lugo by the higher-ranked Joventut (#3).
Sakho's total stats this season are: 3.9ppg and 3.4rpg.
He is also DR Congolese national team player.
#8. Center
Herve Kabasele (208-96, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mathieu Kamba and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game.

He recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes.

Djo Loo Yele (203-82, currently plays in Norway) managed to help Kongsberg Miners to win against the closely-ranked Gimle BBK (14-3)
86-77 in the Norwegian BLNO on Sunday night.
He scored only 4 points.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Kongsberg Miners (10-5) is placed fourth in the BLNO.
Loo Yele has averaged so far 4.3ppg and 3.7rpg.

#10. Point guard
Carl Ona-Embo (188-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help
Caen (14-4) in their game against C'Chartres (8-5) in the French NM1 (third division).

Jairis' victory against the seventh-ranked Carolinas crushing them
90-65 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Saturday night's game.
He recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks.
Mukendi averaged so far 11.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.2apg.

Golden State Warriors to a victory over the Chicago Bulls (27-15) crushing them
138-96 in the NBA in Friday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Kuminga scored 25 points and added 3 passes in 26 minutes.
The Golden State Warriors have a solid 31-12 record this season.
It's Kuminga's first year with the team.

#2. Bismack Biyombo (206-PF-92, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a
Phoenix Suns' victory against the San Antonio Spurs (16-28)

Kangoeroes (9-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance Kangoeroes was edged
82-81 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) Belfius Mons-Hainaut.
Mukubu recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes.
It was Kangoeroes' first loss after six consecutive victories.

Tshiebwe recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 13 rebounds.
The University of Kentucky has 4-1 conference record this season.
It's Tshiebwe's first year with the team.
He has individually a very good year with high stats. Tshiebwe averages: 16.5ppg, 14.8rpg, 1.4bpg and 1.4spg.
#5. Nicola Akele (203-F-95, college:
URI, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help
Treviso (0-0) in their game against Virtus BO in the Italian Serie A.

#10. Eliel Nsoseme (203-F-97, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the
