   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-96, currently plays in Euroleague). Mudiay could not help Zalgiris (0-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance Zalgiris lost 76-88 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Mudiay was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 29 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Zalgiris this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Mudiay played for the DR Congolese senior national team four years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Jordan Sakho (207-97, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain). Sakho managed to help Leche Rio Breogan in a victory against the 16th-ranked Real Betis (1-3) crushing them 97-65 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 15 minutes. Leche Rio Breogan (3-1) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Sakho's first year with the team. This season Sakho averages: 3.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 46.2% in four games he played so far. He is in the roster of the DR Congolese senior national team.

   #3. The DR Congolese player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Henry Pwono (198-91, college: ECU, currently plays in Luxembourg). Pwono led Sparta to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Musel Pikes (0-3) 91-73 in the Luxembourg LBBL on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Pwono recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 4 assists. BBC Sparta Bertrange (2-1) is placed third in the LBBL. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Pwono has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.7ppg, 8.7rpg, 4.0apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 58.1%(18-31), 3FGP: 36.4%. Pwono is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the DR Congolese senior national team. Strangely Pwono has never played in DR Congo.

   #4. Small forward Christian Eyenga (198-89, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Fuenlabrada in their game against Obradoiro (2-2) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He recorded 6 points. Fuenlabrada was defeated 93-81 in Santiago de Comp by the higher-ranked Obradoiro (#11). But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Eyenga has been at the team for five years. Eyenga's overall stats this season are: 6.3ppg and 2.8rpg. He used to play for the DR Congolese national team last year.

Former international center Gullit Mukendi (203-96, agency: Promo Sport ID, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Jairis' victory against the fifth-ranked Archena (0-1) 79-70 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. Mukendi scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was his first game for Jairis this season. in Group E-C. His team is placed first. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Mukendi used to play for the DR Congolese national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have DR Congolese passport but never been selected to any of DR Congolese national teams:

   #1. Experienced Charles Kahudi (196-F-86, currently plays in Euroleague) led his French team ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket to a victory against the tenth-ranked Zalgiris (0-1) 88-76 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was his first game for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket this season. His team is placed sixth in the Euroleague. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Kahudi's seventh year with the team. Kahudi has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and French.

   #2. Christian Lutete (196-G-96, college: UMass Lowell, currently plays in Finland) led Kobrat to a victory over the ninth-ranked Kataja (0-1) 91-84 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Lutete recorded 22 points. It was his first game for Kobrat this season; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. His team is placed second in the Korisliiga. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Lutete is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in DR Congo.

   #3. Wen Boss Mukubu (198-SF-83, college: UAB, currently plays in BNXT-League) was the major contributor in Kangoeroes' victory against the closely-ranked Antwerp Giants (3-1) 90-85 in the BNXT League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 14 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen (2-0) is placed fourth in the BNXT League. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Mukubu has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.5apg. He is another player who holds two passports: DR Congolese and Belgian.

   #4. Yannick Manzila (206-F-3, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Unicaja Malaga in a victory against the tenth-ranked Murcia (2-2) 84-79 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 2 points, 4 rebounds and 4 blocks in 19 minutes. Unicaja Malaga (2-1) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Manzila's overall stats are: 3.0ppg and 2.8rpg in four games he played so far.

   #5. Nicola Akele (203-F-95, college: URI, currently plays in Italy) contributed to Treviso's victory against the sixth-ranked Venezia (1-1) 80-76 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Nutribullet Treviso Basketis placed in the Serie A. Akele's overall stats this season are: 6.0ppg and 4.5rpg. He has both DR Congolese and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Viny Okouo (214-C-97, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Obradoiro's victory against the 15th-ranked Fuenlabrada 93-81 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night. Okouo recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 11 minutes. This year Okouo's overall stats are: 7.3ppg and 4.3rpg in four games.

   #7. Steve Kuminga (196-F-96, college: CCC, currently plays in LAT-EST BL). He could not help Tarvas to beat Ventspils. Kuminga recorded 5 points in 20 minutes. His team was crushed by 22 points 89-67. This year his overall stats are: 6.3ppg and 2.8rpg in four games. Worth to mention Kuminga played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #8. L'Hassane Niangane (208-C-94, college: Gardner-Webb, currently plays in France) contributed to a Orchesien BC's victory against the 13th-ranked SOPCC 69-56 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Niangane scored only 2 points. This season he averages just 1.0ppg. Niangane also holds two passports: DR Congolese and French.

   #9. Live Kivuvu (201-C-3, currently plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help Rockets in their game against Kestrels in the British NBL D1 (second division). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Kivuvu recorded only 3 points in 8 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Rockets this season. His team lost 64-69. He has dual citizenship: DR Congolese and British.
