Here is the weekly review of the top performing DR Congolese players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Christian Eyenga (201-89, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's victory against the 16th-ranked Real Betis (11-25) crushing them 101-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Wednesday night. Eyenga scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes on the court. Montakit Fuenlabradais placed sixth in the Liga Endesa. It's Eyenga's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 9.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 51.6%, 3FGP: 29.2% and FT: 58.0% in 35 games he played so far. Eyenga is currently a member of the DR Congolese senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Myck Kabongo (190-92, college: Texas, currently plays in Basketball Africa League). He led his Mozambican team Fer.Maputo to a victory against the closely-ranked Douanes (1-2) 88-74 in the Basketball Africa League in Wednesday night's game. Kabongo recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and making 12 passes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Ferroviario de Maputo (2-1) is placed second in the Basketball Africa League. His team will play only one more game in the Basketball Africa League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Kabongo has relatively good stats this season: 13.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 7.0apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 31.6%, 3FGP: 26.3% and FT: 77.8%. He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Canadian. Kabongo is in the roster of the DR Congolese senior national team.

   #3. The DR Congolese player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Jordan Sakho (209-97, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain). Sakho could not help Burgos (22-14) to beat Bilbao (10-26). He did not beat the league record on Tuesday evening. Sakho scored only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Burgos was defeated 98-89 on the road by the much lower-ranked Bilbao (#17). There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Sakho's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 3.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 53.2% and FT: 72.3%. Sakho is also a member of the DR Congolese senior national team.

   #4. Forward Omari Gudul (206-94, college: Angelo St., currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Poitiers (6-21) crushing them 93-73 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night. Gudul recorded 7 points in 20 minutes. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (18-9) is placed third in the ProB. This year Gudul's overall stats are: 8.3ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg in 11 games. He is also DR Congolese national team player.


The list of other players, who all have DR Congolese passport but never been selected to any of DR Congolese national teams:

   #1. Experienced Wen Boss Mukubu (198-SF-83, college: UAB, currently plays in Belgium) led Limburg United to a victory over the second-ranked Okapi Aalst (16-10) 86-81 in the Belgian Euromillions League in Friday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Mukubu scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group B. Hubo Limburg United (14-12) is placed third. It's Mukubu's fifth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.6ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.3apg and 1.6spg in 27 games he played so far. Mukubu has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Belgian.

   #2. Viny Okouo (215-C-97, currently plays in Spain) could not help Gipuzkoa (7-29) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa was defeated 81-75 at home by the much higher-ranked Unicaja Malaga (#10). Okouo was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 5 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended. It's Okouo's first season with the team. This year Okouo averages: 9.8ppg and 5.4rpg.

   #3. Charles Kahudi (199-SF-86, currently plays in France) contributed to an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's victory against the 14th-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (9-18) 90-84 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last Saturday. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (13-3) is placed second in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kahudi has been at the team for six years. This season Kahudi's overall stats are: 6.4ppg and 2.3rpg in 19 games. He is another player who holds two passports: DR Congolese and French.

   #4. Henry Pwono (198-F-91, college: ECU, currently plays in Luxembourg) was not able to help Etzella (17-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the league leader Etzella was crushed 93-72 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) T71. Pwono was the second best scorer with 24 points. He also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in 40 minutes. It was Etzella's first loss after five consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended. Pwono has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 21.8ppg, 10.9rpg, 3.6apg and 2.1spg in 21 games. Pwono is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in DR Congo.

   #5. Nicola Akele (203-F-95, college: URI, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Treviso in their game against Virtus BO (5-1) in the Italian Serie A. Akele scored only 4 points. His team was defeated 105-100 on their home court in Treviso by the leading Virtus BO. Akele's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2apg. He has both DR Congolese and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Junior Etou (201-F-94, college: Tulsa, currently plays in France) couldn't help Quimper UJAP in their game against Denain Voltaire in the French ProB (second division). Etou scored 9 points. His team was defeated 85-76. Etou's total stats this season are: 9.3ppg and 5.3rpg.

   #7. Jerry Kuba (188-G-0, currently plays in Switzerland) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Sion (2-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Sion was edged 81-79 in Vevey by the higher-ranked (#6) Levaux. Kuba scored 15 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals in 26 minutes. This year Kuba has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.0apg and 1.7spg in three games.

   #8. Divin Zayadiaku (197-G-0, currently plays in Switzerland) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jerry Kuba and both played together in the last Swiss NLB game. Zayadiaku couldn't help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Sion in their game against Levaux. He scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was edged 81-79. Zayadiaku's total stats this season are: 2.4ppg and 3.1rpg.

   #9. Joel Kanyinda (203-PF-1, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Ponferrada in their game against Estela in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). He scored only 4 points in 17 minutes. His team lost 65-79. This year Kanyinda's total stats are: 4.2ppg and 4.6rpg in 27 games.
