Kriol Star secured victory in the opener of the 2025 BAL Playoffs as they beat FUS Rabat 91-88. The Cape Verdean champions trailed for all but seven minutes. Jalan McCloud (180-PG-1995, college: ETSU, agency: Helping Ballers) however hit a fast-break three-pointer midway through the fourth quarter for 75-72 lead and Kriol Star won the game.
Joel Ntambwe (203-F-1998, college: Texas Tech) led the way with 22 points and Jalan McCloud added 21. Yacine Baeri (196-F/G-1989) replied with 22 points in the losing effort.
