Marcus Santos-Silva joins Saint Quentin

Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball (Betclic ELITE ProA) has agreed terms with 27-year-old American forward Marcus Santos-Silva for the new 2024-25 season. He also holds a Cape Verdean passport. Santos-Silva, who stands at 202cm and weighs 111kg, played college basketball at Texas Tech. He is the second foreign player on the team, with Polish Dominik Olejniczak having signed earlier. Last season, Santos-Silva played for Lille Metropole Basket Red Giants in the ProB, averaging 12.0ppg, 8.6rpg (ranking #2 in the league), 1.7apg, 1.4spg, and 1.6bpg in 34 games. He helped the team reach the French ProB Leaders Cup Semifinals and was named to the Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Third Team for the 2023-24 season.
He has played professionally in the USA and The Basketball Tournament (Ram Nation) before.
He played in the final of Big 12 Tournament in 2022, among many awards. Santos-Silva was voted to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2022 and it will be his third season as a professional player. Santos-Silva played also for Virginia Commonwealth University for 3 years.
