Fairfield University agreed terms with Cape Verdean guard Brycen Goodine (6'4''-185lbs). Goodine played for the last two years at Providence College. In 20 games he had just 2.0ppg last season. Goodine's team ended regular season as a second best place in Big East and Friars made it to the Big East Tournament Semifinals and NCAA Sweet 16 this year.
He played also at Syracuse University in 2019-2020.
Goodine graduated St. Andrew's School (Barrington, RI) in 2019 He played also for Boston Amateur Basketball Club in AAU., which he joined from Bishop Stang High. He was named to All-New England First Team that year.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others friars made it to the NEPSAC Class AA Final in 2018. He was named Rhode Island Gatorade Player of the Year and American Family Insurance All-USA Rhode Island Boys Player of the Year in 2018. Goodine was also voted to All-New England selection, American Family Insurance All-USA Rhode Island Boys First Team and All-EYBL Honorable Mention in 2018.
