Urunani adds Majok to their roster- July 15, 2025
In 2011 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (58th overall). The former University of Connecticut star is in his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball. He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Majok's pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Asia, Latin America, Australia, Africa and of course North America) in twenty different countries. Majok has played professionally in Australia (Breakers), Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), Belarus, China (Shaanxi, Beijing and Hainan Haixiang), Germany, Iraq (Zakho), Korea, Lebanon (Al Riyadi, Beirut Club, Sagesse, Homentmen and Maristes), Mexico (Mineros), Poland, Qatar (Al Arabi), Slovakia, Taiwan, Tunisia (US Monastir and Ezzahra), Turkey, Angola (Atletico Petroleos de Luanda), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Kenya (Thunder) and Senegal (ASC Ville de Dakar). He played in the final of Venezuelan SPB in 2025. Among many awards he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2022. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Urunani. Tags : ATER MAJOK, URUNANI, BURUNDIAN BASKETBALL, BURUNDIAN TRANSACTIONS |
