Soulemane Chabi-Yo is a newcomer at Ciudad de Huelva Baloncesto

Ciudad de Huelva Baloncesto (EBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old Beninese forward Soulemane Chabi-Yo (198cm-92kg-1996) for season 2023-24. Chabi-Yo is not a newcomer in Spanish League as he played most recently at Alfinden. In 22 EBA games in Spain he was league's third best scorer with impressive 20.9ppg and had 13.3rpg (#2 in the league), 1.0apg, 1.4spg and 1.1bpg last season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish EBA Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (3 times).
The previous (2021-22) season he played at CDE Becedo Santander where in 18 EBA games he recorded very remarkable stats: 15.3ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg and 1.7bpg in that year. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Spanish EBA Defensive Player of the Year.
He was a member of Beninese U18 National Team back in 2014.
Chabi-Yo has played also professionally in Philippines (UST Builders Warehouse).
