Mouphtaou Yarou

JSF Nanterre (Betclic ELITE ProA) inked 31-year old Beninese 206cm power forward Mouphtaou Yarou (college: Villanova). Yarou is a well-known player in French Betclic ELITE ProA as he played most recently at Boulazac Basket Dordogne. In 31 Betclic ELITE ProA games in France he averaged 13.9ppg, 8.3rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.3apg last season. Good year as he was voted League Player of the Week.
The previous (19-20) season he played at Metropolitans where in 14 Betclic ELITE ProA games he had 5.6ppg and 2.8rpg. He helped them to make it to the French Leaders Cup Semifinals.
Yarou has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He has played previously professionally also in Serbia (KK Radnicki 1950 Kragujevac) and France (Olympique Antibes and Le Mans).
Among many awards Yarou's team made it to the French Cup final in 2017. Yarou was selected to French ProA All-Star Game in 2019.
He attended Villanova University until 2013 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
