The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:REG (#3) and Kepler (#4). REG (13-4) crushed visiting Kepler (10-8) by 25 points 98-73 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kepler. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Cleveland Thomas (192-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Yamin Niyubahwe added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. REG maintains third place with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader APR. Newly promoted Kepler keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
