An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Cyabingo. LeaderAPR faced 3rd placed GSMRR . Guests from Kigali (13-0) smashed host GSMRR (10-4) 88-64 . APR made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 GSMRR turnovers and had a 40-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. APR players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. American forward Taylor Hosendove (188, college: Oregon) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five APR players scored in double figures. Forward Brigitte Nibishaka (-2003) answered with 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marie Yamfashije (-2002) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GSMRR. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for APR . Defending champion maintains second place with 13-0 record behind leader REG. GSMRR at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Kepler.
