Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Kigali:APR (#2) and Orion (#8). Orion was smashed at home by 59 points 65-124 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. APR dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Orion 's 26. They outrebounded Orion 53-32 including a 41-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. APR looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Orion 's players. Canadian forward Chris Ruta (211-2000, college: Cape Breton) fired 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Ntore Habimana (196-1997, college: Laurier) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 17 assists. Five APR players scored in double figures. Forward Charles Nkurunziza produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Leonard Hitayezu (-1996) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. APR (13-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position having just one point less than leader Patriots. Orion lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost.
