Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Kigali:Patriots (#1) and Espoir (#4). Patriots (13-0) won against visiting Espoir (8-5) 80-65 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Espoir. Patriots forced 21 Espoir turnovers. The winners were led by American forward William Perry (183-1994, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) who scored that evening 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Furaha Cadeaux de Dieu (203-1998, college: UAFS) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Patriots' coach Henry Mwinuka allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points by Chadian forward Ronald Nato (199-1992) did not help to save the game for Espoir . International point guard Olivier Turatsinze (185-2001) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Espoir players scored in double figures. Patriots have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-0 record. Espoir at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost.
