Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kigali:REG (#3) and Orion (#8). REG (12-3) crushed visiting Orion (3-11) by 61 points 118-57 . REG dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Orion 's 38 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. REG forced 21 Orion turnovers and outrebounded them 49-34 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. REG players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Orion 's players. It was a good game for DR Congolese center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 18 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five REG players scored in double figures. REG's coach Charles Mushumba felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. South Sudanese forward Nyang Wek (198-1996) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and center Olivier Kamanzi (-1996) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Orion. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for REG . They maintain third place with 12-3 record behind leader Patriots. Orion lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.
