Regular Season Round 17: YMCA Hamstars - UCU Ladies 51-65

Very expected game when 10th rankedYMCA Hamstars (3-14) were defeated at home by fourth ranked UCU Ladies (13-3) 65-51 on Saturday. UCU Ladies forced 26 YMCA Hamstars turnovers and outrebounded them 61-50 including a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international Bridget Aber (-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Tracy Namugosa chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Rose Musundi produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Akello Scovia added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for UCU Ladies . They moved-up to second place, which they share with KCCA Leopards. Newly promoted YMCA Hamstars keep the tenth position with 14 games lost.
