Regular Season Round 20: Kampala R. - Power 67-77

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Kampala R. (4-11) lost at home to eleventh ranked Power (5-13) 77-67 on Sunday. The winners were led by Clinton Omondi who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Power players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by South Sudanese swingman Ruai Luak (198-2004) did not help to save the game for Kampala R.. Puati Kikomba added 15 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks for the hosts. Power moved-up to ninth place. Loser Kampala R. dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with JKL Dolphins. Power's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena KIU Titans.
