The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:APR (#1) and Kepler (#4). Kepler was defeated at home 36-47 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. APR held Kepler to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 21.2 percent accuracy of the winners. APR forced 21 Kepler turnovers and outrebounded them 61-40 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international center Assouma Uwizeye (182-1996) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) contributed with 7 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Nelly Akariza answered with 9 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kepler. APR (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Newly promoted Kepler dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.
