Very predictable result when second rankedKIU Rangers (12-2) outscored on the road bottom-ranked Kampala Uni (0-13) 96-44 on Sunday. KIU Rangers held Kampala Uni to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.6 percent accuracy of the winners. KIU Rangers forced 33 Kampala Uni turnovers and outrebounded them 57-46 including a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. KIU Rangers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Mary Amaniyo (180-2003) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Sharon Kirabo (170-1996) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four KIU Rangers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Gladys Ayaa (-2000) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Pennitah Nabakooza scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for KIU Rangers . They maintain second place with 12-2 record having just three points less than leader JKL Dolphins. Kampala Uni lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost.
