Rather expected game in Kampala where 8th rankedA1 Challenge (4-10) was rolled over by sixth ranked JTL Jaguars (9-5) 62-43 on Sunday. JTL Jaguars held A1 Challenge to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.7 percent accuracy of the winners. JTL Jaguars forced 19 A1 Challenge turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Mercy Batamuliza who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 23 rebounds. The former international forward Sarah Ageno (176-1996) helped adding 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Stella Kiberenge with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Faith Apio scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. A1 Challenge's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. JTL Jaguars moved-up to fifth place. Loser A1 Challenge dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost.
