No shocking result in a game in Kampala where first rankedJKL Dolphins (12-1) smashed 10th ranked YMCA Hamstars (2-12) 94-49 on Sunday. JKL Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to YMCA Hamstars ' 28 and had 27 for 50 from the free-throw line, while YMCA Hamstars only scored six points from the stripe. JKL Dolphins forced 21 YMCA Hamstars turnovers and outrebounded them 36-17 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Becky Longom stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Brenda Ekone (152-1996) chipped in 22 points. Five JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. At the losing side Rose Musundi responded with 15 points and Rose Wafula scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for JKL Dolphins . Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. YMCA Hamstars lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 12 games lost.
