Regular Season Round 8: Kepler - REG 86-89

A very close game took place in between REG and Kepler. Third ranked REG (6-2) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers Kepler (4-4). REG managed to escape with a 3-point win 89-86 in the fight for the third place. REG outrebounded Kepler 60-41 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when REG made 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and DR Congolese center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-1988) who added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) responded with 29 points and 7 assists and American forward Carlos Done (201-1997, college: Harford CC, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. REG maintains third position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Patriots. Newly promoted Kepler keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Tigers.
