The most important game of round 7 took place in between two undefeated teams whereAPR edged REG (6-1) 77-75 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of REG. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded REG 62-48 including 28 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international center Assouma Uwizeye (182-1996) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) helped adding 11 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side the former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Ange Irakoze (181-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five APR and four REG players scored in double figures. REG's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. APR (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion (6-0) keeps a position of league leader. REG at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by APR.
