Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala:UCU Ladies (#2) and Miracle (#2). UCU Ladies (8-2) crushed visiting Miracle (7-4) by 17 points 67-50 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miracle. UCU Ladies held Miracle to an opponent 24.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 30.0 percent accuracy of the winners. UCU Ladies forced 26 Miracle turnovers and outrebounded them 60-45 including 23 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Bridget Aber (-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Hajara Najjuko (-1998) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. UCU Ladies' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Lilian Cherotich came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and forward Brenda Alyano added 18 points and 5 steals respectively for Miracle in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for UCU Ladies . They maintain second place with 8-2 record behind leader KCCA Leopards. Miracle at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
