D1 top team -APR (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Gahini (1-4) 70-46 . APR forced 29 Gahini turnovers and outrebounded them 62-44 including a 32-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. APR players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Marie Imanizabayo (-1996) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Four APR players scored in double figures. Ange Uwiringiyimana responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and Josiane Ishimwe scored 13 points. Gahini's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for APR . Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record, which they share with REG. Gahini lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with The Hoops.
