The game had a very big importance for second-rankedP.Luanda as it allowed them to take a leadership position. P.Luanda smashed one of their biggest challengers Interclube at home 104-76 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Interclube. It was a key game for the top position in the league. P.Luanda forced 24 Interclube turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Interclube 's players. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Joaquim Pedro (176-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Aboubacar Gakou (201-1997) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five P.Luanda players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Emanuel Sebastiao (190-2001) who recorded 21 points and the former international forward Wilson Ambrosio (199-1999) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. P.Luanda (8-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Interclube at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost.
