Regular Season Round 24: JTL Jaguars - UCU Ladies 73-66

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Kampala: JTL Jaguars (#1) and UCU Ladies (#3). JTL Jaguars (17-4) won against visiting UCU Ladies (12-4) 73-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of UCU Ladies. JTL Jaguars forced 22 UCU Ladies turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Brenda Kayaga who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Angella Lokwameri chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Bridget Aber (-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Tracy Namugosa added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted JTL Jaguars maintains first position with 17-4 record. Defending champion UCU Ladies dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with KCCA Leopards. JTL Jaguars' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena .
