Regular Season Round 24: Kampala Uni - KIU Rangers 45-64

Very expected game when 10th ranked Kampala Uni (5-13) was crushed at home by fourth ranked KIU Rangers (13-4) 64-45 on Saturday. KIU Rangers forced 40 Kampala Uni turnovers. The best player for the winners was Mary Amaniyo (180-2003) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Sharon Kirabo (170-1996) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Mercy Batamuliza who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 25 rebounds and Margaret Bagaala added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Kampala Uni's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. KIU Rangers moved-up to second place. Kampala Uni lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. KIU Rangers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena A1 Challenge.
