Regular Season Round 20: UCU Ladies - A1 Challenge 75-49

There was no surprise in Kampala where 9th ranked A1 Challenge (4-13) was crushed by fifth ranked UCU Ladies (11-3) 75-49 on Wednesday. UCU Ladies forced 22 A1 Challenge turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Hajara Najjuko (-1998) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and Shillah Lamunu who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four UCU Ladies players scored in double figures. Vivian Lusamamba responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Faith Apio scored 12 points. A1 Challenge's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. UCU Ladies have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. A1 Challenge lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Nabisunsa. UCU Ladies' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Nkumba LM.
