Not a big story in a game in Kampala where 10th ranked UPDF (4-12) was defeated by fifth ranked Power (8-7) 60-53 on Saturday. Power held UPDF to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 26.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Power forced 25 UPDF turnovers. Puati Kikomba fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) chipped in 3 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Felix Mukunzi (193-1995) produced 4 points and 14 rebounds and forward David Opolot (-1989) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Power. They maintain fifth place with 8-7 record. UPDF lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Power's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena City Oilers.
