Regular Season Round 18: Nabisunsa - Angels 52-56

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Nabisunsa (4-12) lost to eleventh ranked Angels (3-11) in Kampala 52-56 on Sunday. Angels forced 32 Nabisunsa turnovers. Strangely Nabisunsa outrebounded Angels 48-32 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Elizabeth Akol (-1993) notched 27 points and 7 steals to lead the effort and Grace Kwarisiima (-1987) supported her with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points, 22 rebounds and 7 blocks by guard Sarah Namale (-2005) did not help to save the game for Nabisunsa. Forward Tamasha Nsubuga added 16 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Angels maintains eleventh position with 3-11 record. Loser Nabisunsa dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. Angels' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Magic Stormers.
