Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: Miracle (#7) and Magic Stormers (#4). Miracle (8-5) crushed visiting Magic Stormers (9-4) by 16 points 51-35. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Magic Stormers. Miracle held Magic Stormers to an opponent 19.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Miracle forced 23 Magic Stormers turnovers and outrebounded them 60-48 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Shadia Mbwali (170) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Daniella Nyamwezi answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Ruth Nambirige added 2 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Magic Stormers. The victory was the third consecutive win for Miracle. They maintain seventh place with 8-5 record. Magic Stormers at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. Miracle's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena KIU Rangers.
