Regular Season Round 17: A1 Challenge - Kampala Uni 75-32

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked A1 Challenge (4-10) smashed at home 8th ranked Kampala Uni (4-9) 75-32 on Saturday. A1 Challenge held Kampala Uni to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.5 percent accuracy of the winners. A1 Challenge forced 33 Kampala Uni turnovers. Guard Angole Maria stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Vivian Lusamamba chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four A1 Challenge players scored in double figures. A1 Challenge's coach felt very confident using entire bench saving starting five for next games. Josephine Alimochan responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Hanifah Namuli (-2002) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for A1 Challenge. They moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Kampala Uni keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. A1 Challenge's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Magic Stormers.
