Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Blazers (#3) and Power (#6). Blazers (11-4) won against visiting Power (5-7) 52-48. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Power. The former international forward Geoffrey Soro (198-1992) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Wadaya Blair contributed with 12 points and 4 steals for the winners. Power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Guellord Mobanza added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Power. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Blazers have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Power at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Blazers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.
