Regular Season Round 16: KCCA P. - Our Saviour 65-74

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: Our Saviour (#5) and KCCA P. (#7). KCCA P. was defeated at home 65-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Our Saviour outrebounded KCCA P. 52-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. KCCA P. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Kenneth Mesho supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Even 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Salim Kisilu did not help to save the game for KCCA P.. Forward Emmanuel Odongkara (-1989) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Our Saviour maintains fifth position with 7-5 record. KCCA P. lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with UPDF and JKL Dolphins. Our Saviour's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena UCU Canons.
