Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Miracle (6-5) outplayed 11th ranked A1 Challenge (1-10) in Kampala 63-37 on Sunday. Miracle held A1 Challenge to an opponent 21.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Miracle forced 33 A1 Challenge turnovers and outrebounded them 55-41 including 24 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for forward Lillian Cherotich who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Janet Adong came up with 8 points and 18 rebounds and Cathy Kekimuli added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for A1 Challenge in the defeat. A1 Challenge's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Miracle maintains seventh place with 6-5 record. Loser A1 Challenge keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost.
