Regular Season Round 15: JKL Dolphins - Miracle 71-59

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: JKL Dolphins (#2) and Miracle (#7). JKL Dolphins (9-2) won against visiting Miracle (6-5) 71-59. JKL Dolphins forced 23 Miracle turnovers and outrebounded them 61-38 including a 26-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international guard Brenda Ekone (152-1996) who led her team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Becky Longom helped adding 10 points and 17 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Lillian Cherotich scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for JKL Dolphins. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with JTL Jaguars. Miracle at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost.
