Regular Season Round 12: Miracle - UCU Ladies 47-79

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: UCU Ladies (#2) and Miracle (#6). Miracle was smashed at home by 32 points 47-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miracle. UCU Ladies held Miracle to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Miracle 56-42 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Millicent Otieno (-1995) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Bridget Aber (-2001) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four UCU Ladies players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Lillian Cherotich with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Susan Amito scored 3 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. UCU Ladies have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory UCU Ladies went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Magic Stormers. Miracle at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with KIU Rangers.
