The most exciting game of round 12 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best KIU Titans (8-2) to third ranked UCU Canons (7-3) 69-68 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of KIU Titans. They outrebounded KIU Titans 60-44 including 24 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for center Peter Sifuma (-1996) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds. Abraham Isyagi (-1989) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Joseph Chuma (-1991) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Joel Lukoji added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in the effort for KIU Titans. Four KIU Titans players scored in double figures. UCU Canons have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader City Oilers. KIU Titans at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
